Peter and Carol welcome you to their home, The Hawthorns B&B at picturesque Talybont on Usk. Located within the National Park, it provides some of the most stunning countryside in the Brecon Beacons.
The National Park stretches from Hay-on-Wye in the east to Llandeilo in the west and incorporates the Black Mountains, the Central Beacons and Forest Fawr as well as moorland, forests and gorges, offering the outdoor enthusiasts a massive array of activities including hill walking, mountaineering, canoeing, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, paragliding, horse riding and sailing on Llangorse lake. Cycles can be hired in the village of Talybont on Usk.

When you enter Talybont on Usk, drive pass the White Hart on your left and the Talybont stores on your right. Then take the next turning on your left over the canal and we are the second cottage on your left.

So comfortable, and awesome location!
A warm and friendly welcome awaited us (Homemade biscuits a nice touch) .The perfect location for a relaxing break, or base for exploring the Brecon Beacons.
We had 2 rooms, twin and double ensuites. Usual refreshements in room, Fresh milk in the fridge in the kitchen we had use of, and in the open plan area is a small lounge area with TV use and dining table for breakfast. Comfortable beds, all areas clean, nice shower which I like. Free wifi of course and scenic views from bedrooms.
Its a full breakfast, and really tasty and well cooked.
space outside to relax too.
Peter and Carol are very friendly and helpful and gave us some good travel tips.
All in all a great place to stay, thoroughly recommend, and will definitely stay again.
